I am a special education teacher, a freelance writer and a mother of four small children.
My recent work centers around individuals with special needs. Through my writing , I aim to educate others about those who are "different" in some way. While we can never truly understand what it is like to be an individual with special needs unless we have walked in their shoes, I hope that by providing the public with information about these conditions, I will increase awareness, understanding and empathy for those individuals.
I am also an aspiring children's book author and graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature. I am an active member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
