About the Artist:
I was born in Maryborough, Victoria in 1973 and developed a love of drawing and painting from a very early age. I remember my father teaching me to draw horses and cars at around the age of 5 or 6. I was always sketching caricatures of people through my Primary and Secondary years.
After finishing my tertiary studies, I pursued a career in Surveying and Engineering in Melbourne, leaving little time for any artistic pursuits. I moved to Traralgon in 2003 with my wife and joined the Traralgon & District Art Society (TADAS) where I dedicated most of my time developing my artistic skills. I built my painting, drawing skills and studio practice working with artist John Mutsaers at the TADAS studios during this time.
In 2010 we moved to Bendigo where I continue my love of painting and look forward to exploring the many artistic opportunities that the region has to offer.
My favourite subjects are people and animals, mainly working in oils, acrylic or pastel, my work tends to be bright and bold.
