I just recently stepped away from teaching art, but before that, I was a stay-at-home mom for three obnoxious, but lovable boys and would contract freelance work when I could spare the time
I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston with a Visual Communications degree many moons ago. I cut my teeth on the world of marketing and advertising with my first job as a graphic designer for Fort Wayne Newspapers. It was a fast paced, world and I enjoyed every minute of it. Years later, I left to work as an art director in a small advertising agency. I left that position after finding out I was going to have twins, and enjoyed being a mom and doing freelance work.
For many years, I did caricatures for post proms, company parties, bar mitzvahs, you name it!
One of my accomplishments was being able to illustrate a children's book for TWINS magazine called, "Tiny, Tired Twins." I consider myself more of a traditional artist when it comes to illustration, but I'm beginning to try new avenues in my art. I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
I'm a deadline-driven, easy-going individual who loves to create. Let me create something for you!
