From 2005 I was attempting to re-enter the job market after having started a family. As with any housewife with only a secretarial certificate to my name I had work my way up.
But in mid- 2006 I decided to follow my childhood dreams of being in the media industry and I entered the Cape Talk Talent Search, and WON!
I was initially given the opportunity to become a part-time producer with them, but finally after proving myself by doing overnight and weekend shifts I joined them full
time in March 2007 and only left when I realized my true passion lay in the written word. Some to of the positions I held from January 2005-March 2007 where:
March 2006- March 2007-
PA/ Receptionist at Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty.
January 2005- March 2006-
-Garnishee Order Secretary for Micro Loan Firm
-Receptionist and Book Keeper at a Beauty Salon
-Waitron at the Mugg and Bean
In 1993 I started to study at the Waterfront Theatre School. I left there in 1996.
I have always had a passion for the written word and am a ferocious reader. I enjoy sketching and crochet up a storm.
My family and I are avid outdoors people.
