I am a young professional working in media with a BA (High) Honours in English and a MA Medieval Studies. I have experience working in museums and archives. At the Leeds Museum Discovery Centre, I researched, photographed, accessioned and digitised ancient and medieval coins. My final task was to write articles about my research, which were published on the museum blog.
I have organised and worked at conferences and exhibitions, such as the International Medieval Congress in Leeds, UK. My duties involved managing bookfairs, running concerta and welcoming and assisting delegates.
I taught ESL in South Korea to grade ten and eleven girls. I managed eighteen classes of forty students each per week and extra conversational classes to help my co-teachers improve their spoken English.
Currently, I am working as a news reporter and am the on-air news person for CJYM radio. In addition, I host the afternoon show on weekends, create and edit online content, write promotions and voice commercials.
I am a very diverse and talented individual with a wide range of skills. I am primarily looking for proofreading jobs that can be completed fairly quickly, as I have a full time job. However, I would be very interested in doing voice over work or helping with any type of heritage project! I am proficient in Latin, have transcribed numerous medieval deeds and charters and would love the chance to consult on such jobs as well.
