I enjoy doing artwork in pencil, charcoal, chalks, oil pastels, oil paints, acrylics, and watercolor, and can adapt my style to yours (to an extent). I like certain kinds of cartooning (always "clean" though, not risque). One of my favorite things to do, over recent years, is building collage. I have also tried my hand at digital art and have fun with it.
My writing skills have served me well in various ways, in creating text for children's stories, writing test items for ACT WorkKeys, and compiling and communicating secondary research. I am currently in the process of writing a serious, reflective book for adults.
Teaching very young children (toddlers) on a day-to-day basis permits me to draw a lot of creativity from both observing and interacting with them! "We" do art projects quite often, and these usually involve their placing pieces of construction paper either together with other, complementary pieces or to a background that they have chosen. The pieces they work with are ones I have cut out & otherwise prepared for them freehand.
I think my style could be summed up as "shabby-chic cartoon," if that description should resonate with anyone wondering, though I truly appreciate most of the types of art I encounter and enjoy emulating motley styles.
