Sharon Venn CAIB (SA)
Sharon is qualified as a Certified Associate of the Institute of Bankers with an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. She also received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Innovation Management and Technology Strategy from the University of Potchefstroom. She attended an Absa-specific Management programme at the Gordon’s Institute of Business Science.
She is in her second year of study with Unisa doing a BA Communication Science with the majority of her subjects achieved at a *** Laude level.
Whilst working for Absa (Personal Financial Services), Sharon developed a Sales Management template focusing on the sales performance against targets and performance management templates based on the sales performance. Sharon has acted as second-in-charge to the sales team for the affluent segment of Absa Private Bank in Sandton. She was responsible for driving and managing sales in the branch and reporting requirements to Head Office.
As an independent consultant, Sharon has worked with Nedbank Home Loans to develop sales management processes and templates for their sales teams to specifically encourage a relationship management approach. She has also assisted Chevron South Africa and Sasol Secunda Shared Services in developing their Employment Equity plan as part of a consulting team.
Her work experience includes consulting on Human Resources, specifically Employment Equity for Mandate Molefi Human Resource Consultants. Her focus was on the qualitative and quantitative audits (report writing) of the organization in order to develop an Employment Equity policy and plan for the organisation. She also conducted research for the organisation’s unique product – the Diversity Game – which involved the updating and sourcing of new information in order to create multiple-choice questions for the game which was a diversity management tool. She writes articles, tenders and marketing material for Mandate Molefi.
She has developed website content for Diversity South Africa (www.diversitysouthafrica.co.za) and assisted Streamline with developing their new corporate image (brochures, web-site, business strategy, etc.) – www.strl.co.za amongst others
She has had articles printed in local magazines and newspapers such as People Dynamics, SA Horseman, Endurance SA, Living and Loving, the Star Workplace, etc.
She acts in a Communication/PR and Marketing role for two non-profit organisations - 1st Randburg Cubs and Scouts and Randfontein Endurance Club.
