Title : Design of EISA Compatible PC Add-on Card Using Z16C30 for Serial Communication
Description: EISA is a parallel Input/Output bus derived from IBM PC/AT. We have designed an add-on card, which can be fixed to the expansion slot available in PC, which can be used for serial communication between the computers. The Zilog 16C30 acts as serial controller. We have used RS232 in our design, which is an EISA standard. The card can transmit signals up to 50 feet, which can be further developed, to 400 feet by using RS422 & further more by using MIL1553B standard.
