Doonside Photography
I am based in Glen Marais, Kempton Park. I do Photography on a semi professional basis as. Photography is a passion, and combined with my IT experience allows unlimited creativity in post processing.
I simply love nature and nature blessed us with so many opportunities to capture truly magnificent moments.
I am NOT the best photographer out there but simply a photographer that enjoys every moment of a shoot and strives to better myself and provide my customer with the best results.
You may notice that some of my work is signed as Edge Photography because I used to be a partner in Edge Photography.
Experience
As part of Plantine Studio’s I covered Miss. Randfontein, and Miss ABSA Jnr. 2009. I worked with several artists like Nadine Blom, Theuns Jordaan, Nicolas Louw, Pieter Koen, Elizma Theron, Romanz, Lee Vaughn at the Randfontein show.
I did several studio shoots that include artistic ****, lingerie, formal and casual, fun and family shoots, corporate events, school sport events, Charity functions, Weddings and corporate profiles for their websites and marketing brochures.
I also hosted 2 fun days where we invite a few models and top photographers and the do several light set-ups for studio as well as outdoor photography.
Recently my son became part of the team and seconds me on all shoots as my second photographer. He has a brilliant eye for abstract photography. His is still a youngster but I foresee a brilliant future for him based on his current deliverable without formal training in photography.
His main focus for Weddings is the groom to ensure that we cover both the bride and groom on their special day. We also cover the wedding function from two angles ensuring that special moments are not lost due to focus on the couple alone.
He has the ability to catch those odd memorable moments…that will put a smile on your face.
Refer to the reference from a very well known studio (Business Reference at the back) on his work at the ABSA Randfontein Show. That was his first work as a photographer and was thrown into the deep end but excelled and delivered work that surprised other photographers.
Equipment
I exclusively use Cannon Equipment 400D and 40D camera's with a wide range of canon L class (Professional) lenses.
