I currently am responsible for supporting 6 branch locations by providing their customers timely and accurate construction material takeoffs based on their concept drawings or architectural floor plans. My work covers residential, commercial, and agricultural construction projects. I am also responsible for designing engineered floor and roof systems for these customers as well.

Curtis Lumber is a 100+ year old family owned business with 22 branch locations in NY and VT. I supervise 12 employees in the western divisions’ distribution branch in New Berlin, NY.
I am responsible for:
•Inventory control in and out of the yard about 1.5 million dollars worth of inventory.
•Scheduling deliveries to customers daily and flatbed swap trucks to the 6 other western division branch yards weekly.
•Monthly billing mileage to any other branch that uses our delivery services for one of their customers delivery needs and the mileage for their weekly swap truck.
•Completing a weekly cycle count of inventory in the yard, this is broken up into a 6 week cycle.
•Assigning regular tasks to the 12 yard employees that I supervise.
•Inventorying loads before they are invoiced and leave the yard to assure accuracy on product type and count being delivered.
•Assisting the Branch Supervisor in maintaining and safe and healthy workplace by using a company established safety program.
•Requesting material from other branch locations to satisfy our inventory needs.
•Updating the delivery tracking program DQ so that the entire delivery process can accurately be tracked and logged.
•Updating monthly spreadsheets that I created for my manager:
oHow much margin we are making per delivery, and the average miles traveled per delivery.
