My name is Mathilda Sarah Sibanyoni and I am a dynamic, versatile and inquisitive social and economic activist woman, who has 12 years experience in media and running non-profit organizations (NPOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
I was a participant of ENGAGE 2011 program (Capacity Building for labour Activists and trade Union Officials), which was organized on behalf of German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. My responsibilities as a Marketing & Research Manager at SK FM 98.7 in South Africa and completing my internship at International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) are indications that I have the capacity and abilities for the above mentioned post.
Studying Gender Labour Studies and Global Economics Policies enhanced my goals of acquiring knowledge, understand and experience about economical policies globally. Also I was focus on researching about the United Nations activities especially the Tenth Anniversary of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action (DDPA) and centered on harmonizing gender gaps in an appropriate manner and promote children & women’ rights and disability matters.
Being committed to several youth and woman structures at my early age enhanced my experience, knowledge and leadership skills to be a complete professional media & research person and a community asset.
My strongest points is the ability to work in a team, always speaking my mind and I am so positive that it gives most of my previous seniors a peace of mind to leave me in-charge.
