I have always been creatively inclined; I would always make insightful observations in class, at work, or around family and friends. From a very young age I have been in love with drawing and painting. They are established elements in my odd life as an artist. I owe a lot of gratitude and respect to my Mother, who among many others, never stopped believing in both my ability to create, and my determination to communicate to the world what I see. And to my wife, who encourages and supports my goals to their fullest potential, thank you for being there!
As a self-taught painter, I soon became less interested in how well I could reproduce an apple on a table, and more interested in what kind of a story I could tell with an image.
Instead of painting the apple, I would soon realize how I could represent the apple however I like.
I have tried many different mediums including Oil, Watercolor, Pen and Ink, Digital, Gouache, Pastels, Colored Pencils, and a variety of others, however Acrylics have proven to be most potent in my quest for the perfect medium.
Although many things strike my interest, as they leave my life as quickly as they arrive, creating the worlds that I imagine is one passion I will never let go. It has shown me strength, patience, and an unbelievable sense of meaning. I hope to learn from my experiences in this life, and to pass them on through my canvas.
I work on a commission basis so if you have a project you would like to get started, go ahead and give me a call!
