2007. 1055 Project
Having secured £10k of Lottery Funding I designed and ran a project to facilitate artists to create workshops in their chosen field and present them to the public.
The funding was used to set up capital purchases and initial running costs eventually leading to self sustaining workshops.

2003 -2007 Eleventh Hour Studios. Studio manager
Finding funding sources
Administration, dealing with supplier and customer accounts and correspondence, book keeping, filing of invoices and receipts, invoicing customers, taking deposits for new studio artists and setting up standing orders, liaising with banks and reconciling two bank accounts and producing financial reports.
Several successful funding applications to the value of approximately £18000.
Representative of the studios in a number of artist run initiatives including the Cumbria network ( founder committee member), The Carlisle Hub (founder member and Treasurer), the Carlisle Art Auction (Committee member), and maintaining links with Cumbria Institute of the Arts (now University of Cumbria) through their outreach program.
2006 -9. Lecturer in Life Drawing at Cumbria University part time.

2005. Founder member and Treasurer of the Carlisle Artists Hub. This is a networking forum for artists to discuss ideas, exchange information and collaborate. The result has been a number of exhibitions and a leading role in the visual arts aspect of the Carlisle Arts festival. The Hub is part of the Cumbria Network

2000- 2005. Road Show Manager for The Ski Warehouse, Carlisle.
Running shows and sales of ski ware and equipment at venues around the country.


2001. McCann Erickson Guiseley, Leeds.
Working on the Bentley Motor Cars account. A promotional push by the company to encourage prospective clients to take, test-drives. The main areas of work were researching prospective client suitability and building personal profiles on each. Input at creative meetings, organising and directing photo shoots. Other duties were designing packaging, buying, and co-ordinating creative and copy writing departments invMay –June 2001. Worked with children with learning difficulties at the school in Gdynia, Poland. The work was aimed at getting the children to engage with basic colouring in paint, pen and collage
1997 - 99: Bien Ski, London. Manager and part ownwer of Ski Chalet Company in Meribel, France
This was a high end company providing the best in ski holidays.
Overseeing the smooth running of 6 chalets with up to 50 guests.
Staff training for cooking and ski guiding.
Sourcing and building relationships with suppliers and local service providers.
1993-5: Campus Centres. 1996-1999: PGL Adventure (who bought out Campus in 1994). Manager of Outdoor Activity Centres in the Ardeche, France.
