This work experience has allowed me to develop skills in working with both print and electronic media and drafting news releases and responses to inquiries from the general public, media, government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Writing skills are excellent.
My legal training and years of experience working as a member of, and as a lobbyist before state governments has allowed me to develop skills in interpreting proposed legislation and in drafting legislation and amendments thereto. And I’ve been generally successful in being persuasive when reviewing proposals with members of the legislatures.
I’ve also been fortunate to have been trained in emergency planning and response, and have had significant experience in both developing plans for and responding to workplace emergencies. Have taught appropriate emergency response to management and workers at field locations in the oil and gas business.
