I completed a Psychology Degree with Honours in the UK in 2001, focusing on attachment, biopsychology and cognitive neuropsychology. My dissertation looked at levels of individuals' conscious control of the autonomic nervous system and their role in trait anxiety.
I have since trained extensively in Neuro Linguistic Programming, studied Hypnosis and attained a Vocational Graduate Diploma in Counselling (Family Therapy/Loss and Grief). I also have a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, along with a vast knowledge of the Australian Vocational Education sector.
During the last ten years, writing and project development/quality assurance have constituted the majority of my working life. I have developed presentations, brochures, training resources, reports, research and assessment materials within health, psychology and coaching fields. I have successfully targeted various audiences, from motivational leaflets for six year olds to physiology training resources for allied health professionals to counselling materials for mature aged students.
Writing is a skill that comes naturally to me and I enjoy a variety of challenges, which is the reason I am interested in freelance writing.
