Most recently, I have been working as a photo editor for sports photographer Ron Angle, on site, at the 2011 French Open, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships, and the Davis Cup Quarterfinals.
Our clients included American Express, ESPN Magazine, Lacoste, K-Swiss, E-Boks, Esurance, Li Ning, and the USTA.
My editing, administrative, archival and artist’s / photographer’s assistant work is detailed below-
Image optimization using creative tools and software for color management, cropping, curves, image sizing, dust and scratches, masks, etc.
Extensive research and selection of appropriate images needed in editing projects, using stock photo sources and illustrations. Management of all licensing and rights clearances, both national and international. Extensive research for accurate and timely captions and or written articles.
Metadata management of all images including thorough keywords and captions, image / camera information, watermarking, copyright, international rights management.
Integration of new images into library system, in multiple formats. Archiving and cataloging of images. Organization and maintenance of all image files stored on server/hard drive, as well as maintaining a Selects/RAW files library.
IPTC functions, batch image processing, as well as website management and maintenance. FTP receipt and delivery of all images and files. Continuous organization and management of all aspects of the Digital Asset Management, or DAM, system, procedures, and workflow.
Location scouting, hiring photographers and stylists, estimates, casting, and travel arrangements.
Studio and location assistance for artists and photographers. Assisting with equipment prep, lighting, styling and editing. Liaison with artists and guest curators coordinating their travel, hospitality arrangements, and processing their reimbursements.
Digitizing both text documents and images of fine art, as well as personally photographing art objects in house, using all appropriate art historical standards. Production of exhibition publications including brochures, newsletters, and catalogs.
Research for exhibitions including artists, periods, styles of work. Research on specific works, on locations of work, on photography sources, etc.
Installation and deconstruction of exhibitions, maintaining the highest standards of art handling.
Fine art sales.
I am available to work on-site or remotely. I am capable of working with both Mac and PC platforms. I shoot and print both digital as well as analog when photographing. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, Power Point, ProStock, Stockbox, and Art Systems. I use white hat SEO. I am capable of all clerical and administrative tasks. I am experienced in social media. I have excellent communication skills. I always maintain my professional appearance and demeanor with both colleagues and clients. I am hard working, organized, and I can manage multiple projects and priorities. I thrive in a fast paced environment, while consistently paying attention to the details of any project. I am a great team player, but I am also very comfortable working independently. I am always reliable, punctual, and polite.
