Having worked within a live, studio environment and spending time in BBC Wales, I have realised that my natural talents are better used in audio. My experience gained through musical training, mixing and recording (foley, vocals and a wide range of instruments) gives me an in depth understanding of audio in its entirety. I offer dedication, professionalism and am available at short notice.

Audio Experience

November ‘11
Short independent Film by Aili Wang (Love Accidentally) based in Los Angeles.
Audio Editor, Sound Designer and Mixer.
The audio for the film needed to be synced. I added extra sound design to the original scene recordings and mixed the audio together with the music to complete the film. Second composer on three original tracks.

June ‘11 – July ‘11 Welsh National Opera (The Sleeper).
Assistant Electronic Composer.
I composed three soundscapes to be played at the Coal Exchange (Cardiff) and performed with live sound manipulation.

September ‘10 Collaboration with Artist Chris Marfleet (MA Art Exhibition).
Audio Editing,
I created a soundscape to be looped from recordings taken in an abandoned warehouse to create an ambiance to be played in the exhibition. I also edited two interviews which were played in a second room giving the history of the warehouse and personal events.

July ‘10 Big Band Gospel Concert.
Live audio,
As part of a team of two I was in charge of setting up the live sound for all the live instruments and vocals and sound checking. I was also involved in setting up the visuals and lighting.

May ‘10 Short Independent Film by Andrew Bolton (Goes Around).
Recording and Audio Post Production.
Working with the composer and director I recorded the instrumental parts for the film. I mixed the music to create a well balanced representation of the ensemble and synchronised the music to the visuals.

July ‘09 Newport Music Service Christmas Concert.
Live audio
I was part of a team of two to set up/dismantle the live audio equipment. I was responsible for live mixing and sound checks for a wide range of ensembles consisting of a jazz band, full orchestra, choirs, a variety of chamber ensembles and a steel band.

‘08 – present Freelance audio work.
Working with live recordings, audio editing and production, as well as audio and visuals in live environments. I also work in pure data to create audio and visual installations.

Employed on Saturday’s to show clients around properties that are available to let in the Cardiff area. I have also gained office experience, dealing with booking, adding clients onto the system and processing payments such as rent and agency fees.

Maintenance and Sales Advisor
Duties included: general maintenance of the grounds, tending to plants, furniture assembly, deliveries, till work, security of the site and often I was often given the responsibility of supervising the garden centre.
