2003-2008 CONTROLLER - Nettwerk Music Group (Hollywood)
Set up accounting dept when brought in from outside CPA firm. Initiated all filing systems and bookkeeping processes. Managed all accounting functions up to and including financial statements, A/P, A/R, banking, P/R, G/L maintenance and analysis, 1099 reporting, 401(k) reporting, maintenance of information files (banking, credit cards, utility services), commission statements, chargebacks. Technology platforms: Excel and Datafaction software (with conversion to QuickBooks Pro in 2008).

Managed all bookkeeping and day-to-day operations for clients in a “boutique” business management firm for very high-profile producer/writer couple. Supervised bookkeeping staff. Accounting and business management for individuals and corporations in the music and film industries, as well as tour accounting for arenas and clubs. Discovered fraud and theft, then implemented with bank (some of it was laxness on their part) more secure procedures to prevent in future.
1980-1989 ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT MANAGER - Nederlander Organization
(West Coast Operations – Los Angeles)
Managed accounting department, supervised staff of 4-6. Performed all functions up to and including financial statements for: began with just Pantages Theatre & Greek Theatre, then added Wilshire Theatre, Center Stage Advertising, RKO/Nederlander TV & Film (did a little production accounting), later built Pacific Amphitheatre (kept track of all construction costs, loan draws, mechanics liens, etc), then Henry Fonda Theatre. Payroll included reporting for Box Office, Musicians, and Stagehand Unions.
Came into dept as sole bookkeeper, set up and maintained all new filing and bookkeeping processes and hired new staff as we acquired new entities.
