Independent Contractor Providing Video Editing, Producing, and Graphic Design Services to Various Clients (February 1998 – Present)

Provide on-site video post-production services creating high impact video products (editing, producing, art direction, graphic design) for commercial/political advertising, corporate, documentary, and episodic clients. Create commercials, documentaries, television episodes ready for broadcast. Emmy nominated and winner of several industry awards for excellence including Telly, Poly, Golden Ace).

Responsibilities include project development, script writing and editing, identification of technical requirements, bidding cost, identification of elements and resources, schedule and budget management, non-linear editing and compositing, graphic design, and 2-D animation. Coordinate with vendors and outside agencies to determine production schedules, job specifications, and negotiate pricing. Conduct information gathering and research.

Create compelling and informative medical illustrations and animations for documentary and news productions including The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.

Responsible for final quality control of all video products. Experience with video engineering such as setup playback standards for video tape, routing, encoding and compression techniques and uploading to distribution houses such as DG Systems.

Managed graphic design department at 24 hour video post production facility. Responsible for budgets, project scheduling, appropriation of resources, outsourcing overflow assignments. Created 2D and 3D computer graphics and animations, and edited/composited graphics for use in a variety of multimedia products. Clients included: Discovery Channel, Black Entertainment Television (BET), Nostalgia Television, General Accounting Office (GAO), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), The Smithsonian Institution, Marriott Corporation, American Management Association (AMA), and Litigation Communications Inc.

PCI Recording, 3D Animator (August 1985 – July 1986)

Created high-end 3D animations for broadcast television for clients such as Wegmans and Sibley’s, Department Stores. Created 3D technical animations for corporate clients including Kodak, Xerox, and Bausch and Lomb.
