Content change increased advertising interest and revenue. Continue to generate, produce, and write vibrant community content. Manage freelance writing talent, editorial calendars, and deadlines. Network within the community to bring interesting and relevant content to our readers. Interview, photograph, write, and edit an average of 30 articles per month for both the print and online version of the publication.

2004—2006, Trevi Restaurant & Gourmet Market, Asheville, NC
Owner/Operator—Developed and implemented human resources policies and employee handbook. Created and expanded Gourmet Market increasing sales by 35 percent. Wrote and developed marketing and promotional materials and served as marketing manager and front-of-the-house manager. Managed a staff of 45 employees; decreasing staff turnover by 65%. Designed, built, and managed e-commerce website including Gourmet Market items.

1998—2004, Tribune Interactive, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Content Producer—Produced timely content for Sun-Sentinel’s online entertainment website including writing stories, creating user guides, editing content, and scheduling and programming channel fronts using in-house production and CMS tools. Stories were both created and pulled from CMS, which included the print edition of the Sun-Sentinel.
SouthFloridaParenting.com—In charge of changing over the website to the in-house CMS and updating the site content during the transition. Trained staff on the new CMS to manage all online content.

2001– 2002, Health Communications Inc., Delray Beach, FL
Website Consulting/Content Production—Worked with company executives to revamp the website. Wrote and implemented website proposal to help the company create a user-friendly site that represented its mission statement and goals. Transcribed and produced online educational conferences, assisted marketing director with marketing research and served as interim editor of Counselor, The Magazine for Addiction Professionals.

1995—1998, Cox Communication, Costa Mesa, CA
Orange County News, Entertainment Listings, Weather, & Services | My Connection from Cox
Content Producer—Community editor of OCNOW.com, a news and entertainment website covering Orange County, CA. Created, wrote, and produced daily content for more than 30 cities within Orange County. Wrote produced, and photographed for breaking news stories as well as features and investigative articles. Created Adopt-A-Pet tool by partnering with local animal shelters to feature animals available for adoption increasing site visitation.

Wooden Fences—by V.J. Vanderwerd
Editor—Worked with author, Vivian Vanderwerd, to prepare manuscript of Wooden Fences for publication. Edited text for readability, grammar, factual errors, character development, and cohesive voice.

1994—1995, San Clemente Journal, San Clemente, CA
Editor—Partnered with publishing company to create local magazine covering news and events of San Clemente. Responsible for all editorial content, hiring and managing freelance staff, content production, editing, and deadlines. Wrote and photographed for an average of 15 articles per issue.
