Senior Software Developer Bit Systems, Inc. – Sarasota, FL 2004 – Present
Designed, developed, maintained and enhanced a data acquisition component of an extensive signal processing system developed in Java, C++, C, and FORTRAN on a distributed Linux-based architecture. Developed numerous Java GUI reporting and data processing tools. Provided documentation support including user guides and test procedures. Provided on-site software and hardware installation, test, and validation support for domestic and overseas sites.
Senior Software Engineer Mantech Real-time Systems Laboratory – Sarasota, FL 2002 – 2004
Designed and developed an audio player application in Java on Linux workstations. Improved product for marketability and usability, including debugging, testing, documentation, off-site installation, and troubleshooting. Applications developed using FORTRAN, C, and X-Midas, a customized digital signal processing software package.
Senior Principal Software Engineer Acterna Corporation – Bradenton, FL 1999 – 2002
Designed, developed, implemented, tested, maintained and documented Java GUI applications for broadband cable TV monitoring systems. Systems consisted of three-tiered distributed client/server architecture using an Oracle database. Software developed using Visual C++ for Windows NT. The primary application communicated with network devices, providing measurement analyses to minimize network downtime. Provided technical supervision to three software developers. Consistently performed ahead of schedule and cost estimates.
