Outreach Education Coordinator:  
Beyond Pesticides Ohio, Cleveland, Ohio.  My duties included planning and supervising workshops and seminars, writing educational and outreach materials, preparing grant proposals and reports, researching funding sources, working with elected officials, making presentations to groups, building collaborative relationships with citizens and other organizations. I assisted in preparing four successful grant proposals to The George Gund Foundation and Nord Family Foundation which garnered $165,000 in grant awards.  2004 - present

Market Grower: Self-employed grower of organic cut flowers, salad greens and berries. Sold at retail stores and farmers’ markets in Northeast Ohio including Shaker Square Market, Tremont Market, Lakewood Market, Kent Haymaker Market and Kreiger’s Market. 2002 - 2011

Organizer and Editor, The National Association of the Physically Handicapped, Chemical Sensitivity Awareness Chapter of Northeast Ohio. I created and published a networking newsletter and wrote a successful grant proposal to fund this project. 1999 -2002    

Field Coordinator for the Early Assessment for Exceptional Potential grant:  Kent State University, School of Education.  For this grant funded training and research initiative, I wrote and managed the daily office communications for grant activities and public dissemination, organized a two-week training institute, supervised classroom teachers in the field, assisted in the organization and interpretation of research data, wrote grant reports, made presentations at regional conferences, supervised a staff of graduate assistants and clerical support personnel and coordinated meetings for the faculty team. 1991 -1992    

Resource Teacher: Ravenna City Schools, Ravenna, Ohio.  For this district’s Gifted and Talented program, I served grades 1-5 teaching creative and critical thinking, logic, arts appreciation and research skills. 1992-1996

Delegate to the national conference for the National Association of the Physically Handicapped, North Canton, Ohio. 2002

For Beyond Pesticides Ohio (formerly the Ohio Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides) I wrote portions of the following grant proposals and grant reports and organized all supporting documents.
