My freelance writing career has provided me with basic knowledge of SEO style, as well as the Associated Press Style Book. I have received consistent recognition for my high-quality writing since I began working for Demand Media in 2009, with particularly high scores in the area of research. The two degrees I received in philosophy entailed a great amount of writing, including a 20 page Bachelor’s Thesis and a 100 page Master’s Thesis, using both MLA and Chicago Manual styles. As a philosophy student, most of my work involved writing and presenting structured, persuasive arguments and textual analyses. My results were some of the highest in my department. I have also taken four years of French, one year of Latin, and one year of German with a focus on reading texts.

The numerous articles I have written for Demand Media Studios have been well-received, and in January 2011 I was asked to work on a special assignment for the FRS website, based on the quality of my previous work for FRS. In addition to the recent certification I received from the AFPA, I am currently working on fulfilling the requirements to be certified as a doula, or birth assistant. I plan to pursue a certification in Nutrition this summer.

I am an avid reader and enjoy writing poetry. I have a particular love for German poetry. I am interested in theatre and music. I play the piano, flute, trumpet, and am trained in voice. I am interested in anything to do with health, fitness and diet, particularly in the area of pregnancy and the post-partum period.
