My name is James C. Bourne, and I write this with the intent of applying for the position of story artist your company is offering. I have recently graduated from Brigham Young University’s Animation Center, and am available for work immediately.

I have been employed as a storyboard artist for different companies in the past three years. I also recently worked for Blue Sky itself, and became familiar with the studio and staff. My work ethic has been well regarded at school and in other jobs. I am known for getting projects done on time and in some cases, earlier. I am experienced in working in a collaborative studio environment. At school, I became proficient in boarding on a Wacom Cintiq with Adobe Photoshop, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, After Effects, Maya 2011, Adobe Premier, and Adobe Flash. I am well known for drawing clear, and appealing shots that engage the audience. BYU’s faculty also gave me positions of leadership and management. I have collaborated closely with directors, artists, faculty and other students to propel our projects forward. I have developed a thick skin to critiques and use time effectively.

It would be a pleasure to contribute to your studio through collaborating with other talented artists. I am available at your convenience and willing to relocate.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

James C. Bourne
