Homes With Histories (and buildings with backgrounds) 1986-1989
Consulted for home and business owners to research the background of their historic buildings using Abstracts of Title, Sanborn Maps, city directories, census records, interviews and newspaper records.
Gofer Tourism 1996-1998
Distributed flyers and pamphlets for a client base of thirty Teller County businesses to travel agencies and high-traffic tourism spots, including visitor and welcome centers, throughout Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and California.
Cripple Creek District Museum 1998-2012
Archivist and Director
As Archivist: Assisted patrons with historical and genealogical research. Worked with archives to identify, catalogue, record, clean, repair, preserve and file all paper ephemera. Designed, cleaned, arranged and choreographed displays. Performed digitization projects, photograph duplication and printing and graphics.
As Director: Oversaw a staff of ten and daily operations. Responsible for coordinating, designing and implementing restoration projects, displays and evens. Worked under board of directors to maintain a budget, strategic plan and membership. Maintained professional relationships with city officials, local businesses and regional museums. Attended conferences and classes to enhance and promote facility.
Long Branch Casino 1994-1996
Choreographed and implemented marketing promotions such as bus and group tours and in-house promotions. Maintained a working business relationship with tourism-related industries in Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Canon City. Generated and purchased media advertising. Utilized graphic design skills to produce media advertising copy, flyers, tickets and coupons.
Cripple Creek Music Company 1989-present
Worked with musical and performance groups, both national and local, to book acts in Colorado. Booking agent for various venues in Teller County. Acted as producer on recording projects.
