As production assistant, I worked with the production director to help scan, proof and reproduce original art work for giclée printing. Artist would come in for an initial meeting, where myself and the production director would sit with the client and discuss how they would like to reproduce their artwork. In this meeting, I would help the client choose paper media, determine what size they wanted to reproduce the piece at and establish a deadline. I would then scan the artwork and being the process of matching the reproduction to the original artwork. Other tasks include prepping consumer’s personal pictures to be printed to canvas, answering e-mails and interacting with clients. If short staffed, I would run and monitor the printers in the production room. During this I would watch for quality of the image and any ink drops on the canvas. I would also assist in making shipping boxes and help in producing canvas bars for our canvas stretchers in warehouse.

During my final semester at Campbell University, I assisted Professor Daniel Rodgers in his studio art classes. I helped facilitate class in the professor’s absence and assist in class by helping students grasp the concepts being taught by the professor. Other duties I performed would be to set up the live model or still life that would be used during the studio time.

I was in charge of the Children's Ministry at Fuquay Varina Baptist Church with over 250 children and 100 adult volunteers. I managed the Sunday School children's program and organized various activities for the students during the summer months and helped gear up the fall program by organizing volunteer teachers for Sunday morning and evening activities. Activities included during the summer months, day trips to the aquarium, lunch bunches, family movie nights and cookouts. I took the 3rd through 5th grade to CentriKid. I also helped coordinate and direct VBS with three other volunteers. Together we chose the curriculum and planned out the week from preschool child care all the way to coordinating cleaning up after the week. I began a new Wednesday night Bible study called A2J (Addicted to Jesus), where I reinforced the Sunday morning and evening biblical truths. I dealt with parents’ concerns regarding Sunday morning curriculum, as well as, other church matters in my purview, such as balancing the children's budget for the 2011 fiscal year. I accompanied the other ministers, on visits to church members who were in the hospital. I helped provide comfort to their family members by either sitting with them or by praying with them.

As a design assistant, I helped the senior designer at Apex Printing prepare files for printing to the plate maker. This also included making sure the file was saved in CMYK. Other duties in my internship included helping with deliveries, monitoring presses during the printing process, cutting and binding paper to customer requested sizes and collating and binding printed products. I also handled everyday tasks such as emptying trash, cleaning the bathrooms and cataloging the paper inventory.

As the ministerial intern, I worked closely with the associate pastor to help with the children's department by teaching and planning activities throughout the year. I managed the Sunday School Children's Program, the summer programs and the school year programs and aided the youth pastor as a chaperone on week long trips. One of the programs that I began with the 3rd through 5th grade students was taking them to CentriKid, a LifeWay weeklong camp. At CentriKid, students got to see, some for the first time, that there is a larger world out there and that there are other Christians living out their faith. I also planned Bible studies throughout the year, utilizing store bought curriculum or designing my own. During this time, I also handled various graphic needs for the church, such as a ministry magazine, posters, pamphlets and bulletins.
