I am the founder and Training Director for the San Diego HWA Chapter and a member of FFPRWA.

I have a BA in English and MA in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction and Screenwriting.
I have published several short stories, four anthologies, five novels and three produced screenplays. My projects have won multiple screen and literary awards including two Foreword Book of the Year Awards, Gold at the California Film Awards, Silver in the International Independent Film Awards, Award of Merit at the New Renaissance Film Festival in London, Hollywood Screenings Film Festival Semi-Finalist, Official Selection for the Edinburg Screenwriting Competition, Best Experimental Short at the Chandler International Film Festival, and Best Editing for a Narrative short at the San Diego Film Consortium Film Festival.

My most recent novel, Wormholes: Book One of Axles and Allies, will be released with Barking Deer Press in June 2018. The second novel, Vortex, is scheduled for a spring 2019 release. I also just landed a five book contract with a publisher in China (announcement soon to be made).

Prior to working freelance, I worked as an editor for an independent publisher, a technical editor for an architecture and environmental consulting firm, and an editor/reporter in a daily newsroom.
