Gil Watson grew up in a woodcarving family and his parents had a woodcarving school. He traveled to Europe to study different art cultures and to incorporate different styles in his art. Gil's products have been shipped world wide including carvings corgis for the Royal family and front doors for the prestigious Kruger National Park in South Africa. Gil concentrated on the art shows in Florida and every show he walked away with a ribbon or Best of Show award. He was selected as Artist-in Residence at the Rocky Mountain National Park by the Dept. of the Interior in Colorado. Gil lives in Florida where he is studying the wildlife and doing a lot of art based on the Florida wildlife.
