Position: On-Call Health Screener/Clinic Lead Examiner
Responsibilities: I travel and am contracted through various companies to perform health assessments on their employees. Duties include registering participants, taking manual blood pressures, finger stick for full lipid panel and glucose, height, weight, waist/hip measurements, and health advising/counseling. I am also a Clinic Lead Examiner for clinics, and am responsible for communication with our contacted company, overseeing other health screeners who are working at the clinic, as well as equipment and supplies management.

Position: Specimen Processor
Responsibilities: Review daily patient schedule, greet patients and instruct them on giving specimen, collect the specimen, fill out the proper paperwork, and ship specimens to lab. It was a temporary job to get a baseline urine sample from all patients taking schedule II drugs. The urine is tested to be sure the drugs are metabolizing well and that the patient is taking the correct dose. The screening process would be repeated based on physician requests.

Responsibilities: I maintained Learning Management System for approximately 3,000 employees (computer registration and training computer system), created and maintained employee training schedule, designed and created monthly Human Resources and Organizational Development newsletters, scheduled Labor Relations meetings, and performed various tasks within Human Resources and Organizational Development involving campus initiatives for faculty and staff. My daily computer use consisted of Microsoft Word/Power Point/Excel/SharePoint, Banner (employee and student system), and Learning Management System (Business Training Library).

Position: Employee Wellness Event Coordinator
Responsibilities: I designed, created, and coordinated wellness events and programming for the Employee Wellness Program. I presented Wellness Program Orientation Sessions to all employees entering the wellness program. I created, designed, and updated Employee Wellness and LCC Sustainability web pages as well as contributed to the Campus Wide Events Calendar. I was responsible for all financial aspects of the program (company credit card, requisitions, purchase orders, etc.). I was an active member of numerous committees; Tobacco Free, Sustainability, Customer Service, Capitol Area Health Alliance, Community Partners in Health, etc. I coordinated yearly “Wellness Kickoff Day” (researched and hired speaker, promoted event throughout main and west campuses, coordinated catered luncheon for speaker and committee).

Responsibilities: I gave fitness orientations to new members, designed and created monthly newsletters and promotional information boards about health prevention topics. I performed fitness assessments, taught core and strength classes, created personal fitness programs, and designed incentive programs for various topics such as smoking cessation, weight loss, and physical activity.

Position: Wellness Center Intern
Responsibilities: I worked as a weight management coach, meeting with participants once per week and discussing challenges, victories, and the next step towards their goal. I measured body fat percentage and took body measurements each week. I designed and implemented personal exercise programs, discussed food choices, serving sizes, and nutritional basics. I gave facility tours, answered phones, took payments, and signed up new members. I also created marketing material for the weight management program as well as other topic-specific promotional material.

Venture Grant Healthy Youth on Track

Position: Grantee
Responsibilities: Created and ran one-day fitness and wellness programs, Healthy Youth on Track, for approximately 42 local Girl Scouts ages 11-17. Programs included weight training, aerobic fitness, stretching instruction, and a presentation on healthy eating. The Girl Scouts worked with fitness balls, sit and reach box, blood pressure cuffs, and body fat calipers. A pre and post program survey and evaluation was completed by all Girl Scouts.
