I currently work as a freelance proofreader for the University of Tennessee Press for a dictionary project. I am an experienced proofreader and researcher with a Master's degree in Linguistics and a B.A. in Language and Literature Studies. I am a native speaker of English, and I also speak Japanese. I have done a lot of technical proofreading and copy editing work, and research work in linguistics, literature, anthropology, and history. Additionally, I have experience proofreading reports for a marketing research company. I am familiar with MS Office 2010 and have a typing speed of approximately 80 wpm. I have experience writing articles for a political blog and at Suite101.com, and I am experienced at conversation transcription and taking legal dictation as I used to work as a legal assistant.
