I hold a diploma in Illustration. Since then I have explored a wide range of different art mediums including using Photoshop on the computer.
I live and work in Hampshire and have created illustrations, cartoons, a spot of simple animation as well as sculpting for giftware.
Some of my work is produced directly in Photoshop. Or at times designing the basic concept and scanning into the computer to develop the work. As well as using conventional materials such as pencil, ink, watercolour and gouache.
My illustrations have been used for advertising, children's books and websites. These include MBI (USA), John Hine, Grolier (USA), Antiquark, Royal Tara(Canada), Highly Strung, and Into Design.
Recently I worked on a series of illustrations for fairy tales (with an edge), in collaboration with the author Kathy Nelson. In some cases Kathy has written a story based on an image which I have drawn, and in other cases, I have illustrated Kathy's stories once they are completed.
My latest work has been cartooning in black and white for a caregiving manual.
I illustrated the book called 'Bluey' that was short listed for the Peoples book prize in June 2010.
