I have approximately six years experience working in Law Firms as a Legal Secretary. I have also covered reception many times while other staff were on leave etc. I really enjoyed dealing with clients face to face and helping them with their queries over the telephone.
I am consistently enthusiastic and hard worker with a strong work ethic and strong organisational skills with an ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion and meet deadlines, and I have an assiduous attention to detail. I also possess very good psychological skills as I deal with many different personalities on a daily basis. I am also very flexible and willing to work overtime when needed.
My duties within the most recent firm I worked at included dictation, client liaison, file management, diary management, invoicing, the drafting/preparation/issuing/serving of correspondence and Court documents, the preparation of briefs and liaising with Counsel, clients and third party Solicitors, arranging medical appointments, settlement conferences and drafting bills.
My typing speed currently stands at 75 WPM and I have a high level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs including advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel 2007/2010, Powerpoint and Data Entry.
