Susan Oderwald has been the Executive Director of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) since 2004, and was Deputy Executive Director from 2001-2004. She has deep experience in managing multi-faceted national and international organizations, including expertise in financial and strategic planning, board management, administration, operations, fundraising, program evaluation, management of domestic and international staff, new business development and other typical executive experience. Susan has worked with a number of industries, including plastics, forest products and food-related agricultural industries. Susan holds a Bachelors of Science degree in International Relations and Russian studies, as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). She was a 1987 Thomas Watson Fellow, and has lived and worked extensively overseas. Susan, her husband Ted and her son Alexander live in Newtown, Connecticut.
