As the Web Editorial and Social Media intern responsibilities included: generating content, pitching ideas, starting new weekly columns, conducting and transcribing interviews, proofreading and html formatting BOMBlog content. Social media duties involved: generating content distinct from the online and print magazine, community building and research for Tumblr, where we saw significant traffic increase over a very short period. Other duties were: taking part in digital archive projects, fact checking, working events and reading submissions for BOMB’s literary supplement First Proof.

I assisted in editing and transcribing his latest book, all of which was orally dictated, on entrepreneurial skills in the not-for-profit sector. I also fulfilled basic office duties, such as scheduling appointments, answering emails, phones, filing and making copies.
As an Online Editorial intern, I: wrote, edited, researched and reported website content such as: news and entertainment articles, book and product reviews and instructional tutorials. I provided daily website updates using basic HTML and image editing software. Amongst this I completed administrative duties such as inventory, handling prize fulfillments, weighing and metering outgoing mail and running errands.
