I am a graduate from San Jose State University with a degree in Fine Art and a minor in Biology. Shortly after graduation, the September 11 attacks drove me to aggressively pursue a career as a Fire Fighter. Earning a degree in Fire Science at Mission College in 2003, I then completed EMT training at West Med College and became a certificated EMT for Marin County in 2005. While completing the course work, I successfully completed the requirements which allowed me the privilege to become a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the city of Santa Clara ( Tanner Hose Company). Unfortunately, I suffered an injury during a training drill which curbed my career with the fire department. I then choose a career in education. I completed 2 teaching credentials and my Masters in Education (2009) and taught for several years in the public school system. However, my true passion has always been art. A similarity I share with many artist’s is the pursuit to develop and grow artistically . Therefore, to maintain industry standard artwork I have continued to develop my skills by utilizing various resources such as instructional videos, on-line forums, tutorials, blogs, wikis, and chat-rooms.
