I reported relevant Latino stories in English and I was nominated for an Emmy for my coverage of the Democratic National Convention in 2008. I was also in charge of the news section in the station’s website.

Philanthropic activities: (2010-2011) One year traveling around the world (18 countries) contributing to the communities I visited such as orphanages in Africa, serving food and working with people with disabilities in middle east, helped organic farmers in Turkey, contributing to rural schools in India, implementing media and democracy programs in Bhutan, feeding at-risk children in Argentina, working at an eco-village, implementing literacy programs among indigenous communities and teaching English in México.
(2002-2010) In the United States I volunteered as a narrator for the organization Recording for the blind and dyslexic. I was actively involved collecting coats for annual campaign Coats for Colorado to give to less fortunate families during the winter. I was a member of the Hispanic board at the Denver art Museum. Its mission was to incorporate the minority and underserved into the arts and I am a member of Servas, an organization that promotes peace around the world.
