With nearly fifteen years of experience, I have extensive knowledge of the process of writing, and a formidable 'scrapbook' of published material that I think speaks for itself. I am a seasoned and versatile feature writer, whose work has appeared in numerous publications throughout west-central Wisconsin, where I live, including: The Daily Press and The Lake Superior Sounder of Ashland, Volume One of Eau Claire, and Lake Superior Magazine of Duluth, Minnesota. Topics have ranged from gardening to movie reviews to mayoral interviews and everything in between. I am the recipient of the 2009 Bronze Award for 'Culture Feature' from the International Regional Magazine Association, as well as the 2006 Media Support of the Year Award from Wisconsin Special Olympics, for my series of athlete profiles. I've been consistently writing an on-line blog since 2008, and am currently shopping around a novel, samples of which also serve well representing my 'voice.' In the past, I have worked in both website design and radio, both experiences lending me a taste of the art of copywriting.
With an attention to detail, strong work ethic and easy-going personality, I believe I'd be an ideal candidate for any project in need of a creative voice and/or competent editing hand. Please feel free to visit my blog: www.westboundthoughts.blogspot.com
