Outreach Counselor and Social Worker for the project 9/11
Pre-screened, and matched the Arabic speaking communities affected by the events with the suitable services in the state of New Jersey, assisted the mental health therapists of the IINJ by executing the intake interviews, and the therapy sessions as well.
I conducted outreach activities throughout the project’s life, and acted as a cultural broker on behalf of the clients. As a team member, I contributed to execution of different topics workshops in coordination with the community leaders, production of translated publicity, and utilizing ethnic media outlets.

Refugee Counselor
Upon the needs assessments of the spontaneous individual refugees through extensive counseling, helped them to seek durable solutions to their problems by realizing local integration as a foremost option. I managed to prioritize the activities required together with the government counterparts, and coordinated with the local non- governmental agencies regarding establishment of small self- help projects.
Critical cases required resettlement to a third country of asylum as means of their protection, and in collaboration with the immigration authorities of those countries.
I was involved in budgeting, monitoring performance, and negotiations regarding amendments and description of new budget lines.
