I am a full-time freelancer who is willing to tackle anything from copy editing 100 words to writing, editing and taking photographs for lengthy documents.
Following completion of a BIS Publishing degree at the University of Pretoria in South Africa I began working for Brooke Pattrick Publications as a production/sub-editor. After four years in this position I was promoted to editor of The Journal of Facilities Management and, a few months later, I was awarded editorship of Urban Green File, one of the company's flagship publications.
The skills I developed and enhanced while working for Brooke Pattrick Publications include copy editing, proofreading, production editing, journalism and photography. I wrote both news stories and feature articles for the company. In addition, I took photographs to accompany these articles.
Further to my BIS Publishing degree I have completed a professional photography course and a copywriting course through AAA School of Advertising. As a freelancer I have experience writing feature articles for Saltwater GIRL magazine and Supernova magazine, and editing a number of theses.
