Bangladesh-raised and Ottawa-based illustrator and live painter, Farhan Tasin, has been honing his skills in digital and traditional art for the past several years. Originally a traditional sketch artist, Farhan blended digital art and painting skills with his 5 years’ experience, bringing about the perfect fusion of his desires and passions. His work is influenced by science fiction, comics, graphic novels, natural landscapes, and cityscape illustrations. Through the vivid and bold color scheme, specific tones, brush strokes, and storytelling he is focused on expressing his childhood obsessions, cultural regions, and pop-cultural characters. Farhan Tasin with being on the final round once is a regular at Art Battle (live competitive painting), an illustrator for the Charlatan (Carleton university school paper), an exhibitor at local café and restaurants in the Ottawa area, and have experience with live painting for local shows.
