Hello, my name is Naomi-Jon Redshaw, and I am a recent QUT Visual Arts graduate with a Minor in Graphic Design where I learnt how to use, create and design effectively on Adobe apps, like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. and use other online platforms, like the Microsoft Suite, Shopify, WordPress, and MYOB. In the next year, I want to find fixed employment as a graphic designer where I can use my design skills in a professional setting.
Throughout my time at University, I have learnt that I thrive within challenging opportunities and projects that require me to modify my way of thinking and artistic practice into new forms. While focusing on effectively communicating and networking with others to develop an efficient workflow and create engaging content. I am a determined, driven, and passionate designer with a positive attitude that believes anything can be accomplished through creative thinking.
Over the last month have had temporary employment with a non-profit organisation as an instructional designer where my current skill set was put to the test of learning articulate interactive programs while creating educational modules to a strict style guide. Throughout the year, I have also participated in a range of work placements with book publishers through university programs. These projects taught me how to effectively design to specific design briefs within short and long-time frames to a professional level while being adaptable to the needs of these businesses.
