Adetokunbo Victor Doherty has over 25 years’ experience of working on large Infrastructure Development Projects both in the United Kingdom and Africa. He has spent most of his career working for major Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy practises, (Ove Arup & Partners, Watermans, Aecom & Atkins). He has been involved in some of the largest city centre regeneration and property development projects in Europe, (Liverpool one, Grand Arcade Wigan, Eagles Meadow, Wrexham, etc.), and also large infrastructure projects, (Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Paddington basin, Reading Sewage Treatment Works, World Bank Infrastructure project, Offshore Gas pipe bridge for Foster Wheeler etc). He also has experience of working with some of world’s top Architects, (Forster & Partners, Broadway Maylan, Building Design Partnership, Grimshaw, etc.). Adetokunbo is experienced in leading Civil/Structural teams on large Property & infrastructure development projects and is proficient in structural scheme and detailed design utilizing Structural Steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber and m a s o n r y a n d s t r u c t u r a l g l a s s . Co-ordination/control of structural design team on fast construction programmes encompassing speed and economy. Understanding objectives of other disciplines within the design and construction teams. Knowledge of various contract and procurement methodologies, including Public Finance Initiative, PFI and PPP, Implementation of International Management Systems ISO 9001, Quality and Environmental Standards, Construction Design and Management and Design/Construction Phase Health and Safety Management. Redevelopment of Paper Mill Iwopin, Ogun State: Full Civil and Structural scope on the redevelopment of this 700 Hectare site. The redevelopment is to include a New paper Mill, Logistics infrastructure which will include a Logistics Park with inter-modal facilities from land to water, Manufacturing Units, Residential, Educational and Commercial and Agric-Business Developments. Infrastructure includes Power Plant, Road, Drainage and Flood Alleviations Works and all related civil and structural infrastructure. Leading technical team involved in feasibility studies, responsible for technical assessment and Refurbishment of existing infrastructure and integration with new infrastructure., Scope also includes construction execution supervision. College of Agriculture, Igourakhi Redevelopment, (Edo State, Nigeria): Civil and Structural Design of Academic and Administrative buildings and Dormitory Block, as well as road and infrastructure design. Client: Strata DB/ Edo State
GSTC Benin Redevelopment, (Benin, Edo State, Nigeria): Refurbishment Design and Build of 9 specialist 1970s steel framed buildings. Requirements included design according to Eurocodes. Construction included jacking-up of collapsed building as part of refurbishment of these existing buildings. This iincluded refurbishment design and construction of structural steel superstructure and foundations. Mixed use: Wigan Phase 3: 20-Storey reinforced concrete building comprising of a podium for commercial use with a residential tower above.
