RICHARD A. METHIA
Dick Methia is an author, educator and award-winning speaker. Dick has taught speech at all levels including the faculty of The Graduate School in Washington, D.C., one of the world’s largest professional training schools.
For NASA Dick conducted an international speaking tour for which the nation’s space agency honored him with its prestigious Public Service Award. In further recognition of Dick’s accomplishments, the Air Force Association named him a General Jimmy Doolittle Fellow, an award he received from General Doolittle himself.
In a career that spans more than 30 years Dick has given presentations in 45 states and several countries. He has been invited to speak before state legislatures and Congressional committees and assist the White House with public events.
One of Dick’s most memorable speaking engagements was in July 1988 when he received a rare invitation to travel to Beijing, China, to deliver a keynote address in the Great Hall of the People.
The biggest thrill for Dick was being asked to write remarks for the legendary Walter Cronkite for a Washington fundraiser.
