BARRY CONRAD is a professional TV cameraman who has served as director of photography in the television industry on many features. Mr. Conrad has also worked for KCNC, the NBC affiliate station in Denver & WKRC-TV Cincinnati.
During the past thirteen years, he has not only shot but produced several documentary features under the banner of his own BARCON PRODUCTIONS. In 1997, he released the acclaimed paranormal documentary, An Unknown Encounter which he also directed and produced. Some of his clients include: THE LEARNING CHANNEL, ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT, THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL and WALT DISNEY STUDIOS.
Recent productions have included the Golden Mickeys for Walt Disney, co-creator & supervising producer as well as director of photography for the highly rated Biography Channel series My Ghost Story for the A&E network.
When the Sci-Fi Channel aired two of Conrad's productions, An Unknown Encounter & California's Most Haunted, the shows garnered high ratings.
Apart from his own productions, Conrad filmed over 300 episodes of the reality series, Real Stories of the Highway Patrol. Other recent projects that he has served as DP on have been Everybody Loves Raymond (PSA's), Atlantic Records' Paul Wall music video, American Idol, Fantastic 4 featurette, Jessica Simpson & The Muppets for Pizza Hut, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa biographical documentary, World's Greatest Superbowl Commercials, West Wing TV star PSA, Missing in Iraq documentary for Discovery Channel.
In addition to his videography assignments, Mr. Conrad authored a book titled An Unknown Encounter, a true account of the San Pedro Haunting that was published by RoseDogs Books in 2009. He has also written several documentaries for television.
Conrad has also been a recipient of a number of awards including the Telly Award for his documentary on Parkinson's Disease in 2007, EBE Award for Monsters of the UFO (cameraman, producer, writer), Freddie Award for Proof, Rebirth & Lupe's Dilemma, Emmy for the Cosmopolitan Hotel story.
A standing member of the Digital Cinema Society, he is currently writing, producing & directing & shooting two pilots that he has created for network TV, Casefiles UFO & Casefiles Unknown.
