Todd Desautels is a highly talented multi-medium artist. Dubbed ‘Jack of All Visual Arts’ by his peers, Todd is an accomplished illustrator, painter, award winning pumpkin carver, and published air brush artist. Carving pumpkins since 1988, he helped to establish a very successful seasonal pumpkin show with neighborhood friends. He co-founded 11th Hour Productions with life long friend Angela Faneuf in 2006, to produce a large scale pumpkin festival, which drew nearly 18,000 visitors in it’s first year. In 2013 Eleventh Hour Productions evolved to become 11th Hour Farming Artists. In addition to producing the popular seasonal pumpkin festival, 11thHour began growing pumpkins organically as medium for their displays, as well as organic heirloom vegetables, which they sell to local restaurants. The Farming Artists is the current evolution of farming, art and cooperative passion with the addition of the talented and knowledgeable plant enthusiast, Jonathan Hart. Now located in Blue Hill, ME on 133 acres of forest and farm just off the coast. Todd is a graduate of the Mass Dept. of Agricultural Resources Small Farm Business Course and also helped to establish the cooperatively organized Antiquinox Productions, co producing several successful transformational festivals, which included music, circus arts, and local artist vendors. His 20 + years of restaurant experience, has cultivated a passion for culinary arts and left him well versed in wine, beer, and food pairings. Todd has initiated the start of a blossoming permaculture nursery with a collection of over 50 varieties of edible perennials.
