Shop Supervisor/Manager I manage a small team of graphic artists, who design graphics in support of the Navy. We deliver good customer service, sales support and conduct a monthly inventory. I deliver employee safety and software training, and prepare a yearly budget. Additional responsibilities include managing the production and creation of artwork and product designs; logo design and editing and improving photographs in Photo Shop. Designs are then applied on various surfaces-plaques, mugs t-shirts etc. My team provides design images using most graphic software programs, including PS and Illustrator. I am also proficient in screen printing, darkroom work, color separations-hand and computer, vinyl cutting and laser engraving. I’m also responsible for and maintain all equipment and software.

Tested computer software and designed ads for magazines promoting computer graphic systems, hardware and software. Tested and evaluated software for production. I provided on site service including the set-up computers and software training.

I operated an optical printer, which edited timing changes on scenes from movies and commercials. I also worked in the animation department, preparing layout, storyboard ideas, and rotoscoping. I worked on many motion pictures and hundreds of television commercials.

I’m working on completing my Associate in Graphic Art from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, 2008 to Present.

Awards and Recognition
I received letters of appreciation from the Pentagon and National Archives, Human Recourses, AIR 4.51, Research and Engineering for artwork designed in my shop.
My work was published in Computer Pictures magazine. I helped create the Tri-Star Picture Logo that is used world-wide.
As an artist, I have displayed my art in five solo exhibits. I’ve showed and displayed my work in art in Gallery shows in New Jersey, Maryland, and in Washington DC.
I run an Arts and Crafts Festival every year for the past 18 years with over 200 vendors, responsible for public relations for the event for the past 18 years.
As an art teacher, I teach private art lessons, including Japanese Anime, drawing and painting.
