I design, execute, analyze and report market research projects on a contract basis. I also accept freelance writing and editing assignments involving a broad range of writing styles, formats and degrees of complexity.
Although some of my market research projects have been limited to competitive analysis based on secondary sources, it's more common that survey research is involved. Some examples... customer satisfaction surveys, user needs assessments, compensation/salary surveys, impact evaluations, psychometric and sociographics research, etc.
I have written for newspapers and magazines and have held editorial positions for some. Writing research reports has obviously been a significant part of my MR activities, but I have also written technical reports and white papers.
Blogging is also an activity that comes easy to me. I write a more serious weekly newsletter/blog for stock investors (http://TSX.ProfiTrend.com) and a lighter, general-interest blog on Toronto's live music scene (http://TorontoLiveClubHub.com).
