Global Technical Documentation Coordinator
Responsible for the development, design, and maintenance of all technical documentation and supporting visuals required for the Logging While Drilling (LWD), Measurement While Drilling (MWD), Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS) and Directional Drilling Service Lines (DD) pertaining to Repair and Maintenance (R&M) and Operations. Additional responsibilities included: utilizing PTC Windchill and TerraView for various tasks from locating documents to publishing materials. Integrating and rationalizing within each Service Line to ensure documents are fit for purpose, meet product line and specific service line requirements and exist on a common platform/system and training district Coordinators, Field Engineers, R&M Techs and support staff how to access all technical documentation required for their job type. The Technical writing aspect of this position involved working with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and Research and Development (R&D) Engineers to develop procedural documents; writing, editing, graphic design/visuals and publishing classified documents. Lastly, as the SharePoint primary site owner of the Global Operations domain my responsibilities included: creating sites and sub-sites, using appropriate metadata and developing site content to best suit end-users needs, management’s requirements, site functionality and visual appeal; creating groups, maintaining and granting permissions as well as conducting periodic audits of sites and document libraries.
