The writer lives on the high Sonora Desert of Southeastern Arizona. She was born in Chicago, but fell in love with the culture, people and food of the border state while looking for a university to attend. Transplanting to the desert transformed her life forever. Although raising a family and caring for horses, dogs, cats and other critters kept her busy, she began writing romances in her free time. Writing has been a constant companion for this writer, publishing everything from professional counseling programs to freelance articles, stories, and poetry. And as an artist, she has won juried contests and awards for paintings and varied media art.
For the past 28 years,the writer has also maintained a private practice as a professional counselor specializing in Criminal Justice and offender counseling. After years of intense interpersonal involvement with thousands of people, the author developed a unique perspective on criminal behavior. Using innate abilities as a writer, extraordinary insight into human nature and the eye of an artist, she published a riveting non-fiction book about crime and violence in America.
