Australian-born Tania Meneguzzi is a multiple award-winning independent Screenwriter/ Director/ Producer working in Los Angeles.
Before relocating to Los Angeles, Tania founded ZZ Productions Ltd, an independent production company in London from 2004 to 2010. Under the ZZ Productions banner, Tania wrote, directed, and produced the feature film, THE RUN, which screened in 13 international film festivals and won five awards including one for Best Film and two each for Best Director and Best Actress. The film also received nominations for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Soundtrack, Best Actress, Best Film and Best in Festival.
Tania also produced the European feature film, HAPPY NEW YEAR LONDON, written and directed by award-winning playwright Berkun Oya. It was the opening night film at the ECU Film Festival in Paris and screened in nine other international film festivals garnering three awards for Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, a variety of producers and authors have commissioned Tania to write screenplays, TV pilot scripts, and book-to-movie adaptations. Highlights include a high-concept feature screenplay based on a treatment created by producer Brian Kennedy (Credits: THE HOMESMAN starring Hilary Swank, Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep and THE GREAT GILLY HOPKINS starring Kathy Bates, Glenn Close, Octavia Spencer) and an original suspense-thriller feature screenplay for producer Barry Navidi (Al Pacino's producing partner).
Tania’s skills as a Writer/ Producer/ Director were also recognized for her work on the web series, THE HOLLY DIDD SHOW. The pilot was nominated as Best Webisode at the INNY Awards held in New York City. Katy Perry (the American pop star who has sold more than 11 million albums and 81 million singles worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time) became an online fan of THE HOLLY DIDD SHOW on the former web channel BEBO.
Years prior, Tania worked on several short films that screened in film festivals across the globe including THE FAIRBANK HOTEL, a neo-noir drama that made its US premiere at The LA International Shorts Festival at the Arclight cinema in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Tania attended the London Film School in England.
